JAMES J. CARANGELO, APPELLANT,
BOARD OF REVIEW, DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, GLOBAL TERMINAL CONTAINER CO., AND PPFO LOCAL 1456, RESPONDENTS.
On appeal from a Final Decision of the Board of Review, Department of Labor, 109,596.
NOT FOR PUBLICATION WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE APPELLATE DIVISION
Submitted June 5, 2007
Before Judges Coburn and Axelrad.
James J. Carangelo filed a claim for unemployment benefits on March 12, 2006. At each stage of the ensuing administrative proceedings he has lost, and he now appeals from the final decision issued by the Board of Review on June 20, 2006.
After carefully considering the record and briefs, we are satisfied that the Board's decision is supported by sufficient credible evidence on the record as a whole, R. 2:11-3(e)(1)(D), and that all of appellant's arguments are without sufficient merit to warrant discussion in a written opinion, R. 2:11- 3(e)(1)(E). We add the following comment.
Carangelo lost his waterfront pass, a prerequisite of his employment, because, as he admitted to the Appeal Tribunal on May 8, 2006, he failed to follow the necessary procedures and guidelines for reporting his arrest to his union. In short, he did not leave work for good cause attributable to the work. Brady v. Bd. of Review, 152 N.J. 197, 218 (1997).
