UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE THIRD CIRCUIT
October 28, 1985
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, APPELLEE
FIGUEROA, LUISA, A/K/A CARMEN ORTEGA, A/K/A AIDA RAMIREZ-RAMOZ, A/K/A AIDA BETTY RAMOZ, A/K/A BETTY RAMOZ, APPELLANT
Appeal from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (D.C. No. CR 83-00349-01), Daniel H. Huyett, 3rd, District Judge.
Before: GARTH and BECKER, Circuit Judges, and VAN DUSEN, Senior Circuit Judge.
After considering the contentions raised by appellant, to wit, that the court erred:
1. in that it did not give cautionary instructions as to the credibility of accomplices, paid informants and a felon who provided the only critical evidence linking the defendant to drug dealing activities; and where the defendant specifically denied the uncorroborated allegations of those government witnesses; and
2. in that it permitted the government to introduce in its case in chief defendant's welfare status and failure to file income tax returns as such evidence connotes odious prior criminal conduct of defendant that was not needed for the government's case; it is
ADJUDGED AND ORDERED that the judgment of the district court be and is hereby affirmed.
